What is Pilates?
Pilates is a series of exercises evolved from
the techniques created by Joseph H. Pilates,
who brought this unique method of physical and
mental conditioning to the United States in
1923. His study of yoga and the martial arts,
combined with his work with physicians, led
to the development of this conditioning system.
The whole body is trained with these exercises,
coordinating the upper and lower musculature
with the body's center.
Pilates creates balance and strengthening of
the entire body by using smooth, continuous
patterns of motion. Pilates transform the way
your body looks, feels and performs.
